Bought first set of stones and got a mixed bag. I was hours into stoning when I noticed many stones looking like they had a white cast like they were chalky looking toward the base. I nearly drove myself CRAZY. I wondered if my e6000 had “gone bad”. I wondered if my electric blanket I had on my feed was somehow over heating them. Never occurred to me the stones were trash until I spotted a few in the container not yet applied to the costume.
I spent hours picking dull cloudy stones off my costume, then using acetone to remove all the excess glue from the fabric to START OVER. I gave the store the benefit of the doubt thinking I just “got a bad batch”. I made a 2nd large order of the same stones to RE-DO the costume. Picked up my stones on the way to Texas so I could stone overnight before my kid wore it on stage the next day. Imagine getting to Texas and finding out this batch of stones is even WORSE!!! All pale off colored and DULL, not at all bright and vibrant. This is over $80 wasted at this point not including all the time. In utter defeat I handed my costume over to another mom who stones dozens of costumes every season for other dancers. She said she’s never seen stones that awful before, total junk. She kindly volunteered to take the stones back into the store for me to show them the quality concerns and to see if becreateful would replace them. The owner was rude and denied there was any problem with the stones at all.
I took multiple photos and video of the stones on the costume and sent it to other dancers moms some of which said they’d “never seen stones that bad” and others who reported they had ALSO recently received cloudy dull stones from recent orders through becreateful.
I’m 100000% all about “things happen” and I’m usually the last person to get upset and be unforgiving. But the shops unwillingness to take accountability was really disappointing. I feel literally gas-lit. Every single person other than the shop owner can see an obvious quality issue and the owner is like “they look fine to me”. Huh? Very disappointing.
So much time and money is invested in these costumes. Way too much to spend hours putting crappy quality stones on a custom costume that cost hundreds of dollars just to have the store owner gaslight the hell out of you like I must be hallucinating… Lady… stop.
So happy to have purchased this product. Other brands out there cause my stones to come out of place. I would definitely buy more of this and I highly recommend this. It is thicker than the rhinestone transfer tape. They also gave me this cute pink diamond pen. I love it. My granddaughter wanted it but I could not give it up, lol.
